By engaging our services & paying an initial deposit invoice, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms outline our obligations to you and your responsibilities as a client. Please read them carefully.
You the customer, are hiring Mia Paff - Mim&Lou (ABN 76 417 816 780) to create graphic design work such as a logo and/or marketing materials and/or website design for the prices displayed in our marketing materials or in a proposed quote/estimate. By accepting quotes/estimates & starting work with us, your contact details will be stored in Mim&Lou’s admin system and you will be added as a subscriber to their mailing list. You are able to opt-out at any given time.
Please read & understand the below terms & conditions prior to commencing work with mim&lou as paying an initial invoice serves as an agreement to these terms.

Logo & Print Design
Graphic Design Services For logo design and print design services, MIM&LOU follows the terms outlined below:
Concepts: MIM&LOU will provide initial design concepts within determined timeframes. Additional rounds of concepts or project termination may be offered at MIM&LOU's discretion.
Author’s Corrections: Changes outside the original brief may incur additional charges.
File Delivery: Final design files will be delivered digitally upon full payment.
Ownership: Clients have ownership of the final design for business use. MIM&LOU retains the right to use designs for promotional purposes.
Payment: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required before commencement, with full payment due within 7 days of invoice receipt.
Client Responsibilities As a client, it is your responsibility to ensure that you make all timeline requests known to MIM+LOU if you have tight deadlines within a reasonable timeframe, otherwise MIM+LOU can discontinue the project & cease work. MIM+LOU cannot be held accountable for any delays in delivery beyond their control. It is the clients responsibility to respond to emails, communications & requests from MIM+LOU within a timely manner - should a lack of communication impact the projects progression, there may be delays enforced onto the projects timeline. MIM+LOU is not liable for any delays & repercussions that may occur when communication and/or organisation has been poor from the client.
Web Design
For web design services, MIM&LOU follows the terms outlined below:
Website Structure: Website platforms and customisation options are determined by client preferences. Ownership transfers upon full payment. Mim&Lou offers website design using platforms like Shopify, Wordpress, Wix, and Squarespace, providing fully transferable websites. Once a theme is selected & purchased by the customer, customisation options are limited without additional developer costs. Wordpress allows for greater customisation but may require additional training. Shopify sites utilise paid themes, with Mim&Lou handling setup and confidentiality of sensitive client information. Custom website designs are available at a higher cost, built with design software and external web developers. Mim&Lou is not liable for sales fluctuations post-site creation.
Permissions: Clients grant necessary access to domain and hosting accounts (and other sensitive account access) for website setup.
Site Content: Clients are responsible for providing website content unless otherwise agreed.
Author’s Corrections: Changes outside the original scope may incur additional charges.
Stock Photography: Royalty-free images are used; additional fees apply for specific photo requests.
Payment: A 50% deposit is required before commencement, with the balance due upon site completion.

Event Stationery
Introduction Welcome to MIM+LOU, your go-to destination for custom-made wedding event stationery. By engaging our services and paying an initial non-refundable deposit, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms outline our obligations to you and your responsibilities as a client. Please read them carefully.
Services Provided MIM+LOU specialises in creating bespoke wedding event stationery, including but not limited to save the dates, wedding invitations, and event stationery. We collaborate with Peterkin Printery to ensure the highest quality printing standards. However, it is important to note that MIM+LOU is not liable for any printing errors or delays in shipping incurred by Peterkin Printery.
Client Responsibilities As a client, it is your responsibility to ensure that you opt for a priority service and cover the costs associated with shipping if you have tight deadlines. MIM+LOU cannot be held accountable for any delays in delivery beyond their control. It is the clients responsibility to respond to emails, communications & requests from MIM+LOU within a timely manner - should a lack of communication impact the projects progression, there may be delays enforced onto the projects timeline. MIM+LOU is not liable for any delays & repercussions that may occur when communication and/or organisation has been poor from the client.
Design Approval Before proceeding with printing, clients must approve the final design provided by MIM+LOU. Once approval is given and the design is sent to print, it is considered final and cannot be altered or changed. Clients acknowledge and agree to this condition.
Dissatisfaction If clients are unhappy with the final result, they may approach MIM+LOU for comment. However, it is important to note that once the design is approved and sent to print, any dissatisfaction with the outcome does not warrant alterations or changes. Clients are encouraged to thoroughly review and provide feedback on the design before giving approval.
Payment A deposit of $200 is required to initiate work with MIM+LOU for event stationery. The remaining balance must be settled prior to ordering the printed materials. Failure to make full payment may result in delays in the production and delivery of your wedding event stationery.
Termination
The client may terminate this Agreement at any time. If the project has begun, Mim&Lou reserves the discretion to decide whether to refund the non-refundable initial deposit and may charge for time spent on the project. If the project has not yet commenced, the client is entitled to a refund of their deposit.
Completed work remains the property of MIM&LOU until the final payment is received in full. Unforeseen events such as illness, injury, or technical issues beyond Mim&Lou's control may cause delays in the project timeline.
Payments Terms
We’re sure you understand how important it is as a small business that you pay the invoices that we send you promptly.
All invoices are payable within 7 calendar days of the date of issue unless otherwise agreed. The client is responsible for all debt collection fees, legal fees and court fees that may be incurred as a result of the client’s failure to pay invoices within 7 calendar days of the date of issue.
Should either parties be unwilling to proceed or wish to terminate the project after commencement, it is at mim&lou’s discretion as to whether the initial deposit is to be refunded. If the project is more than 50% completed, Mim&Lou has the right to charge for all billable hours outstanding.
When your final payment has cleared, copyright will be automatically assigned as follows:
You’ll own the visual elements that we create for this project. We’ll give you finished files suitable for print and web and you should keep them somewhere safe.
We are proud of the work we do, so we reserve the right, with your permission, to display your project as part of our portfolio and to write about it on websites, in magazine articles and on social media.
Before you confirm your agreement to these terms, please make sure you understand all of the above agreement. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding these terms, please contact us before advising us of acceptance. When paying an invoice you agree to these terms.
Legal Disclaimer MIM+LOU reserves the right to update, modify, or change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the client to review the terms periodically for any changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from the interpretation or implementation of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Australia.
By accepting ANY supplied estimate & PAYING AN INVOICE DISTRIBUTED from MIM&LOU OR AN AGREEANCE OF MIM&LOU STARTING ON ANY WORK, you accept the above contract and terms.
